About Autistic Flair
Autistic Flair is a community-driven organisation dedicated to amplifying autistic voices. We believe that firsthand experiences provide the most valuable insights into autism. Our platform is a safe space for sharing stories and exploring identities, helping to shift the narrative and promote greater understanding.
In addition to our community efforts, we offer services to individuals and organisations, aiming to improve autism awareness and create more inclusive environments. Together, we can celebrate neurodiversity and learn to effectively work with autistic people.

Meet, Katie Forbes
Katie Forbes is the founder and director of Autistic Flair.
Growing up, Katie faced negative stereotypes about autism and learned to mask her autistic identity, believing it would limit her potential. After experiencing autistic burnout, she decided to embrace her true self and found strength in the autistic community, realising there was no reason to feel ashamed. This led her to create Autistic Flair as a platform for connection and self-exploration.
Following her TEDx talk, “Autism is a Difference, Not a Disorder,” Katie devoted her professional life to helping others on their journey of self-discovery and working with organisations to foster inclusive environments.
Her work continues to challenge stereotypes and inspire change, empowering autistic individuals to celebrate their identities.
